Instead of trying to bring this blog "up to date", I've decided that would take waaay too much time and energy, forget that idea, and just start with today..... perhaps I'll go back in time and post pics of some of the highlights from the last half of 2010, perhaps not.....life was quickly moving along and I really didn't have time to blog......
But, we're back!
Today is Tuesday, January 18, 2011! Christmas brought us a flat screen tv that we've all been enjoying!
MANY decisions needed to be addressed in this 'simple' purchase.....
1. Which TV to purchase? We got the Samsung 32"
2. What to do with the old? Place in bedroom or get rid of? Thanks to Dick and his brother, they were able to move that 2 ton beezie up to our room! WHEW!!
3. Which TV stand to purchase for the old tv or for the new? We decided on the tv stand but not on which tv to USE it for OR its destination.....
4. Where should the new tv stand go? Upstairs for the old or for the new? Now THIS was the biggest decision......
a. think about the height from our bed watching the tv?
b. color contrast - new black tv on dark cherry wood?
c. let's 'see' what the old looks like upstairs on old tv stand BEFORE assembling the new. Where we assemble is where it will be - it weighs a TON!
So, we decided to leave the old tv stand with the old tv, upstairs in our room.
We began the job of assembly.

Step 1 of 13 - thank goodness Gabby was helping!
Step 7 - Attach the doors - Gabby couldn't make it to this step.
Tools needed. YEAH! Step 13! Only 3 extra nails, 2 sleeves and 2 MISSING washers. Not bad.
FINISHED PRODUCT!!
The bonus? 1. ALL of the electronics WORK!!!
2. We did it under 3 hours!
3. We STILL like each other!
